Bonus offer : Two hr class plus two hrs free hire after your lesson
This two hour class aims to teach the basics of surfing quickly and with plenty of fun. The first half hour is spent on land discussing the in's and out's of surf technique. The remainder of the time is spent in the water.
We pride ourselves in our success rate on teaching people to stand in their first lesson.
All equipment is included. We use 'softtop' mini malibu style surfboards and 3/2 mm Seventhwave wetsuits to make your first surf experience as safe and comfortable as possible.
plus you can continue to use the equipment for up to two hours after your lesson to continue practicing at no extra charge.
Classes are run most days. Bookings essential.

Most people want to learn more than just the baiscs of surfing, so we offer multi lesson discounts. Your first lesson will teach you the basics of standing but there's so much more to learn. In your second, third, and fourth lessons you'll perfect your standing skills, then learn to turn ,and after that we'll teach you how to get 'out the back' and ride the green faced waves.

This is a regular class for men and women. It is a progressive class allowing students to master basic surf technique with a group of like minded people. Everyone progresses at their own rate with Aaron and team on hand to provide individual tuition.
This class used to be for women only but too many of the men felt they were missing out and wanted to join too. If you are interested in a womens only class please let us know.
Classes run Sundays at 1:00pm.

This programme is for children of all ages to master the basic of surf riding with a group of children of similar age and ability.
Classes run Sundays at 10am and School Holidays

Bodyboard and Longboard Surf Coaching
Coaching for Intermediate and Advanced surfers is available. Professional Surf coaching is well experienced in the coaching of advanced surfers. Professional Surf Coaching also offers instruction in Bodyboarding and Longboard surfing, employing instructors that are leaders in their field. Mark Perana is one of New Zealands top Surfers in both shortboard and longboard surfing. Aaron Lock is one of New Zealands top bodyboarders.We can help improve surf technique or surf contest performance. Video feedback is often used.

This entry level programme designed for school children between the age of 10 -14 years. The programme teaches the basics of surfing and bodyboarding with a strong emphasis on surf safety. the programme has been running in schools in the Buller, Westland and Canterbury regions for 12 years.
All equipment provided including boards and wetsuits.
